Hi, when i open the kitchen tap on my vaillant turbomax 242 the boiler does'nt fire up, if i leave this tap on and open the basin tap it comes on, could this be the flowswitch or possibly diverter diaphragm or just filters needing cleaning, P.S. heating ok

it hasn;t got a flowswitch the diaphram or microswitch actuating arm has gone 
Cheers kevplumb, how come it works with both taps open (is this due to the extra water rate being drawn ?)
