Hi,

Just stumbled across this site while doing some research to a problem am just having with the mentioned boiler.

Thought this looked like a good place to ask if anyone has come across something similar or has some advice on what might be wrong.

At the moment when HW / CH is requested, the appropriate lights come one. However, when the fan / flue step is started, nothing happens. In the case of HW, the water is running and nothing happens but can hear boiler working.

When the CH is requested, the boiler is working, but after a while the fan light starts flashing.

Any ideas what might be the cause?

Much appreciated.

Cheers,

I think the "fan light" indicates a failure to ifnite when it flashes.

You should see if there is a spark in the window for five seconds before it starts to flash.

It could be a faulty gas valve or it might have overheated. Most likely to be a CORGI job though.
