Vaillant Vantage c120

Just like gas work the installation or repair of unvented cylinders is a controlled activity.

Its therefore better not to give advice on a public forum which might encourage DIY repairs.

I hate to agree with Agile (I really hate to), but the biggest and most important safety feature on an unvented cylinder is the TPRV.

Please get a G3 registered installer for this one :|

Er....

The OP is an RGI and qualified to work on them.

Its just that we should not be giving advice on an open forum about work which should only be done by a qualified person as that would encourage a DIYer to have a go.

He has a G3 certificate, and if he is not Gassafe registered, how on gods creation can he post in the CC. If he is gassafe registered, I still fail to see how this subject qualifies for CC.

And yes, I know he is an RGI Tony.

Get a grip Mr. Glazier. Have you had your refund from the pizza place in NW3 yet? Or would you rather discuss that in the CC - it has the same relevance.

Mr. W.

Just because he is qualified to work on UVs does not mean that he knows every vagary of a Vaillant design.

All those which I have seen have just screwed in but we all know that Vaillant have an innate desire to overcomplicate things.

As you are apparently interested, the Pizza Express regional manager apologised and had a £20 voucher sent to me. But he did not come up with any explanation as to the cause of the problem which should have been quickly sorted out on the evening.

In contrast after leaving Song Que, I recalculated my bill and discovered that I had been overcharged by about £8. I emailed them and they very efficiently replied with an itemised list of what was ordered and apologised and said they would refund the overcharge when I go there next.
