Hello congniscenti,
This venerable boiler from the eighties (and no, I'm not talking about Saint Margaret!) about half the time does not give hot water on demand (mostly first thing in morning); but when it does, it's fine and plenty of it. Otherwise relaible and has been regularly serviced.
Our current work around is to briefly fire up with a call on the c/h, but this is going to get a bit boring what with summer warming up. One company has checked with their supplier and says only 20 % parts now currently available - true?
Our neighbour has just had his identical Vaillant taken out (separate issue), so, potentially, has spare parts. So what is this fix (if any) and are parts going to be an intractable problem?
Many thanks, in advance for your considered thoughts.
Jon
