Vaillant Warm not Hot water

Evening all.

First of all thanks in advance for any help/advice!

Over the last few weeks our Vaillaint ecotec plus 824 boiler has only been giving out warm water at best regardless what I set the hot water temperature to on the boiler. The central heating still works completely fine and comes out hot.

I've reset the boiler and noticed for the first thirty seconds or so after the reset the hot water comes back through hot and then returns back to lukewarm again.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Sounds like a diverter valve problem. When running hot water it’s probably being diverted down the heating circuit.

easy to test, let the system cool then run a hot tap and feel the heating flow and return below the boiler and see if either is getting really hot, if so diverter valve problem
