hi i have a vailliant compact combi, and i cant get it to work, fan and pump r workin ,but its not firin up, can anyone help please

pressure is fine, model is compact vwn242 timer is an old one red and blue
could someone please help
got no hot water or ch , pressure gauge is on 1 half bar

Are you talking about the CombiCompact model ie VCW......?
The data plates are normally just under the combustion chamber front edge.
Use the search facility on here...been loads posted in the past, also plenty on gas-news.
If it is the VCW model you've picked the most complex boiler ever made and its probably worth passing on this one. A few simple things to start with are the overheat stat button not popped out, the servo valve rotates correctly, check the diverter shifts fully left or right, flue collector ring holes clean etc.
Could be many many things.
