Hi all
Recently installed an ecotec boil 830, and to my dismay the plug in timer has stopped working today :(
The system has a rf system installed so could this be affecting it
any suggestions greatly appreciated system is only 6 months old

The wireless may have stopped communicating.

You could try following the instructions to re-establish.

Or call the installers under their warrantee.

RF system seems to be working fine, boiler works fine, just clock does not move set at 2 pm and never moves. power should surely supply clock with no effect from rf

You said "plug in". thast normally a 13A three pin plug.

If you mean the simple mechanical timeclock on the front panel of thenboiler then that should continue running if it did so before.

Sorry to clarify it is mechanical timer / switch that fits to front of boiler. The on/off/clock function works and if i turn it by hand it goes on/off when set to do so however the clock simply wont turn.

If the analogue clock has stopped then the timeclock module has failed and will need replacing however if you have a programmeable wireless stat fitted(built in time settings) then the mechanical clock should have been redudant anyway.

Or to clarify that, if you have a wireless programmable stat then the built in timeclock actual clock is redundant but the unit is still required to fill the panel hole and to allow the on/off function.

Perhaps the wireless element is only a simple stat?

It always helps if the OP clearly explains what the problem is and quotes what equipment is fitted.

The timeclock is covered by the warrantee if the boiler was professionally fitted.

no its not, the on off dial controlls the power, the prog stat will control the heating times on and off, and the factory supplied blank covers the hole(you have to remove the blank to fit the clock).

just a bog standard thermostat digistat RF this seems to be working fine ie calls boiler on off due to temp. Problem is clock cant even here it ticking inside usually can with mechanical clocks. Think this is problem though.
