Just want to check I did the right thing, as its possible that the mrs turned the wrong tap on in an attempt to find a stop cock on a house I just purchased.

The pressure indicator showed over pressure and the display was flashing 4.6 bar. according to some searching this might be due to a fill loop being left open. I bled about a bucket of water out of the rads and the pressure dropped to low end of red, but then returned to max within about 10 mins. I closed the tap on the green thing picture 3 and then bled about a pint of water out and the pressure dropped to img 2 and has stayed there. Is the bottom pic basically my fill loop? It wasn't quite as per the diagrams in the guide.

thanks for any help.

The silver ,braided ,flexible hose is your filling loop . The black handle opens / closes to allow water into the system.
If the pressure gets to around 3 bar ,the PRV should lift ,and release water out of the system ,so shouldn't get to 4.6 bar. Needs checking !

thanks - will get it checked. Had a chap booked, but we only use the place as holiday home and aren't always there so logistics meant couldn't find a day that worked

I take it the PRV is not user serviceable?

If it doesn't fully close, its usually in need of replacing ,sometimes opening and closing a few times may be successfull in clearing any foreign matter that may be preventing it from closing fully.
