Could anyone assist with problem enountered with the above boiler. The boiler keeps coming up with F23 Fault Code. The auto air vent has been changed and all seemed well for a few days. The temperature is rising fast from cold to between 61 and 72 degrees then starts to drop and the flame goes out. This happens a couple of times then the temperature starts to rise at a normal rate to about 84 degrees and the radiators get hot, then later on the problem starts all over again until eventually F23 Fault Code comes up again After re setting the boiler the temperature rises fast part way and the whole cycle starts again. Sometimes the boiler is ok for a few hours but if you run a bath the cycle will start again. Could the problem be the NTC Temperature Sensor on the flow and return pipes. When the boiler is playing up the flow pipe is red hot but the return pipe is only warm. When it is working ok both pipes are hot. Hope someone can help

Sounds like a circulation problem, Think thats what f23 is, There is a filter on the heating return pipe on entry to boiler, Could even be pump impellor or scale in heat exchanger, is the system clean and inhibitered

Thanks for your reply pump appears to be working ok as at the present time radiators are as they should be. System is clean. Anymore thoughts would be gratefully received
