The above boiler appears to function correctly but I have no heating.

There is plently of hot water, no fault codes, pressure is stable at 1.5bar, boiler fires and pump spins when the heating should be on but no hot water seems to go to the radiators. I can see the pin move in the DV when I turn the hot tap on and it is less than one year old so assume that it works OK. The heat exchanger has been descaled recently.

Having read through all the posts on here and other sites, I thought it may be something to do with an airlock somewhere so I have tried bleeding the pump by opening the screw on the front, as well as the radiators but no luck. I also have a Magnaclean which I have cleaned out and bled through the valve in the top after.

Any ideas what do next?

Thank you.

I have turned the wall thermostat up to its highest setting and the ensured the clock on the boiler is set to have heating on but still nothing. The pump gets very hot as if it is trying to pump hot water around but something is stopping it.

The speed setting is set to 3.

I have unscrewed the bleed screw and some bl**dy hot water trickled out. When I moved the speed setting, I also saw it move through the hole so it looks like this is working.

The diverter valve is the usual cause.

They move about 12mm!

If you remove motor head and pull the pin out you should get heating.

You may damage the motor head unless you are careful or know how to do it.

If it has small holes 5 mm then its the old type. The later type has holes about 6.4 mm.

Is there a good way to check if the diverter valve is fuctioning correctly? When i turn on the hot tap, I can see it move - I therefore assumed that it defaults to the CH setting.

It would make sense if this was the problem given that everything else looks fine but it is quite new.

Thanks
