Mine getting a bit tempramental at lighting, sometimes it helps if I move the gas lever up and then down.
I was going to replace the thermal coupling first and hope thats all it needs but thought id ask on here if there is something else it could be.
Also is it easy enough to replace the coupling.

You'd be better off getting a pro to repair and check your open flued fire.
I've probably just wasted my time typing that, but nevertheless it's good advice.
