I've had wet foam under my feet in the front of my van for years and believe that's what's causing electrical issues with my van. I've located where water is coming in from my roof, currently just put a microfiber cloth pushed in. Could I build a shelf or something underneath then push a cloth underneath to absorb all the water coming through? I think it drips down to the floor then Over time getsfge whole floor wet

My favourite word
Glad you looked that up for me. My tabby is skilled in this activity.

Possibly my favourite word.

My second might well be coprophagia.

And no. I have never, personally, engaged in either.

The former, I discovered from a lexicographer on Radio London. The latter, she, who no longer talks to me, and I used to sell pet supplements to "help" to stop dogs eating poo. I did warn (potential) customers that it only works if you works if you give the supplement to the dog that eats its own poo or the dog whose poo it eats.

Icky...

Occasionally the roof rack mountings tear on these - if they have been overloaded so it's rack off to check.
If no joy there, then consider the aerial mounting which comes loose when bashed. You can sometimes access this by removing the courtesy lamp inside.
John :)

Probably is roof rack, I hit a low car park entrance with it years ago. After taking it off, silicone before putting back on?

Wet again after downpour. Using microfiber cloths inside which are getting soaked

Best remove the rack and send us a photo of any damage, I think......the brackets are usually spot welded in place but you may be able to repair with a bolt.

Yes, likely to be the roof rack mounting point. As above, take rack off to inspect damage. If you hit it you've probably made a big hole which may require some welding.

Then refit with added waterproofing. Silicone around the nut and bolt at the fixing point is probably the best way.

How about temporarily shoving loads of microfiber cloths in the hole that's filling up?

Better to have the water that's coming in being allowed out, than to soak it up into cloths and let it sit there against metal.

It's not ideal as above. At least get a second set of cloths, and change them over after the first has got wet.

The sensible solution is surely to open up the rest of the roof to let the sun dry it out, and remove all of the floor to let the water drain away, then wear microfibre shoes to soak anything that's left.
Oops - almost forgot - remove all the windows, especially the windscreen, to create better ventilation - maybe consider replacing the windscreen with microfibre cloth?

Or find the leak and fix it!
