I share my water with the neighbour through a 3/4 inch black polypipe. We both experience pressure loss when one or other has something taking water.
I had the water co. give me a price for two new connections, £1300. Even one new connection is 1k.
Neither of us are that wealthy.
The water engineer suggested we could simply take the 25mm blue from the stop tap in the street and connect 32mm pipe round to our houses. He said this would give us better pressure and flow than the present arrangement.
I do want to repave the whole area where the pipe runs and the contractor reckons he can do that for a lot less.
The distance from the stop tap to our house connections is ~20 meters and I am certain it's all 3/4 inch black poly.
Should I expect a good result or is it going to be waste of money?
