Apologies for my ignorance, first time user of this forum and a complete DIY novice.

I've noticed that the water pressure coming out of our cold water tap in the kitchen is doing something very strange. When you turn the tap the flow increases to just about a trickle and as you turn the tap to full it actually reduces the flow again similar to turning the tap off.

I can't see any leaks and the cold water pressure in the bathroom (sink and bath) is absolutely fine.

Any ideas / help please?

It's the mechanism inside the tap that's playing up. Take it apart and see what's going on.

Great, I'll take a look at it later.

It's a mixer tap so hopefully I'll be able to look at it relatively easily.

Check that it hasn't lost the little horseshoe circlip that holds the barrel in place and (obviously) check the washer.
