vauxhall meriva indicators or hazard light dont work.

it started with the left hand side not working right hand side was fine until i bought the big yellow rely of amazon, i took the old one out and put the new one in but now both sides would not work,so i put the old one back expecting it to be the same has before right side working but no now no indicators at all inside cab both sides flash fast hazard flash slowly but no lights anyone any ideas or a long piece of rope.

There are numerous problems with the hazard indicator switch on these which can interfere with the normal indicator function.
Press the hazard switch off and on a few times to see if anything comes back to life!

pressed hazard lights still the same i have noticed on the yellow rely if i press the indicator arm down to left it is making a clicking noise but no lights coming on and if i press the arm to the left no clicking or lights

Are you sure the flasher unit/relay is the same?
I'm not confident in electrical products from Amazon, id personally buy a genuine item.
Is this the unit situated under the wiper scuttle panel and a pig to get to?

Wot year is the car? Cud be that the amazon rely is not for that year of Minerva.

Could be that the car computer has problems with the flashers. If it's fairly recent I'd take it to a dealer or Vauxhall specialist to get them to 'read' the car computer.

Make sure the relay is in the correct place (on right) as it will fit in 20 mm to the left but will not work
