HI,

Does anybody know how easy it is to change a vectra Casette / Radio to a cd head unit that is ISO standard?

Do you just slide out the old and slide in the new? or does the cage need changing and wires moving / connecting etc.

Thanks,

Darren

You may have to get a wiring harness to convert vauxhall standard to ISO, thats if vauxhall standard isn't already ISO.

You may also need a dashboard adaptor, a piece of black plastic that goes around the new radio if it is smaller than the opening.

A tool may be required to remove the old radio.

If the new radio is higher powered than the old one (likely, given the old one is radio/cassette), be careful you dont overpower the speakers. It may be best to replace the speakers with beefier ones!

shouldn't be a prob the new unit should just go straight in
does your vectra have the steering wheel controls?
I had the same prob when i changed mine
I was going to change my head unit to a JVC and found that I could not get an adaptor for the steering wheels controls
eventually I had to get a kenwood
just something to bear in mind

Hi Thanks for your replys. I have steering controls but i'm not too fused if they stop working. Thanks for the advise.
