Velux window change

My builder has installed a Velux GGL C02 window in my loft. This window is a centre pivot type whereas I requested a fire escape type. How easy is it to change the window to a top hung type?

Would the whole frame need to be removed or could it be modified to take a top hung panel?

BTW the builder has vanished QFS.
