He's gone quiet now about doing it to stop drugs getting into USA. But it won't make any difference, drugs from Venezuela were only a small part of the total, and if Americans want to carry on killing themselves with overdoses there'll be no shortage of other suppliers.

It isn't really about drugs.
When the Americans invaded Panama, they used the same excuse, they arrested Panamanian dictator Noriega and charged him with drug trafficking.
It did nothing to stem the flow of drugs into America.

Under Amurrican law, it's legal, no problem there. Plenty of precedent.

But if USA can engulf (see what I did there?) Venezuela,
Russia can gorge on Ukraine,
China can swallow up Taiwan.

Greenland is difficult. They don't even get on well with Denmark.

Trump has revived the Monroe doctrine, he has renamed it the Donroe doctrine.
It effectively ends democracy in South America.
Of course people there can still go to the ballot box and vote but if Trump doesn't like the government they put in power, then, he will remove that government by force if necessary.
His next big target is Brazil and Cuba.

To be fair to Trump, he doesn't try to claim his actions are about democracy and freedom, he says openly that its all about America first and what's good for business.

I would compare Trump to Mussolini rather than Hitler, like Trump, Mussolini was an incompetent bombastic bullshitter, who had a few easy wins but when he came up against a peer rival he fell apart.
