vent extractor through roof

I am going to install an extractor fan and would like to vent it through the roof(slate tiles) as the walls are stone and over a foot thick.Is it possible to do this or am I chasing my tail?

Thought I could get some form of cowl vent that may make it possible Any links to a possible stockist would be very helpful

you can either use a pitched lead slate or a tile vent terminal (dependant on tiles).
