How much should the undercloak project past the wall? On the lower level wall this is 6-8" is this too much? A piece has become damaged and fallen along with substantial chucks of cement. Is this a contruction fault?
Is it a common problem for the undercloak to break & is it the weight of the cement that is the cause of the damage? Are adjacent sheets usually bonded together or just placed raw next to each other?
the overhange looks more than 50mm past the outer wall. Is too much gonna be a problem?
not sure of the different types. the roof looks like standard red tiles and the undercloak a thin white strip. Is this aspestos based?
height should not be much of a problem as it is only on the ground level roof. do i need to rip tiles off first? was thinking just to rip the remaining part of the undercloak and try to slot a new one in does it need to be retained or will the pointing be suffice?
should it be mortar or cement for the pointing/filling the verge? it is a reddish/orange color, is it difficult to get a match?
was hoping to have pointers of how best to tackle this little project and whether it was beyond me and best to call a professional in.
