Guys,

How would I go about confirming the Shower rating of a Gainsborough Shower already installed in a clients home.
There are no obvious markings (other than the manufacturers name) on the outside. Would the power rating (and voltage this was caluclate at) be searchable on the internet?

Any help or advice would be useful - my concerns are that the shower unit is wired in on 6mm2 T&E when it should be on 10mm2 (although it is not a long feed to the shower unit.

Cheers for now. :)

The rating is normally printed on the heater element.

Failing that, a good bet is to use a Clamp meter.

measure the resistance of the elements and you should be able to calulate the kw rating

Cheers I will go with your suggestion. Most other units I have worked on have still had the spec lable stuck to it!
