Vibrating toilet

I've got a problem with a vibrating toliet an have been advised that an equilibrium ball valve will fix it. I'm trying to buy one from a mail order supplier but in the catalogue it has one for a 9 1/2 inch standpipe and one for an 8 1/2 inch standpipe. Can someone explain to me what a standpipe is please?

measure how high you float valve is from top to bottom.
you may fit a 91/2 then find you can't get the lid on.

Helpful if you're prone to constipation, I would have thought.

You mean perhaps that you have water hammer triggered by the float valve. Simplest solution might be to renew the washer.

Ive got the same problem and its driving us mad.
