Hi all,

Ferroli Optimax boiler, 1 year old.

When the central heating switches on the diverter valve moves to heating mode from DHW mode. This valve makes a slight vibration noise as it does this. My boiler is in the loft and its only slightly noticeable up there.

However in the house, especially at night, this noise appears to be amplified by the pipes and so as the boiler cycles on and off during the night we are constantly awoken by this vibrating noise as the valve operates.

We have had the valve replaced under warrenty by Ferroli and the new one is the same. The engineer said they all make that noise.

How can I find and fix this vibrating pipe problem?

Cheers

pipe clips are best ,but once pipes in then will be hard. best bet is to get some pipe insulation around all pipes. also pump brackets will be easy to install to clamp the pipes.
