Hi

I have just removed the floor tiles from the kitchen and underneath are vinyl floor tiles stuck to a bitumen floor, they are stuck well and as the kitchen floor is not level I want to screed it.

Do I need to get the vinyl tiles up or can I screed on top of them, the tiles came up really easily which I guess was because they were stuck to the vinyl.

Help and ideas appreciated.

See this and click onto "Tiling over existing floor coverings" I know it said floor tiles but floor screed will have the same effect.

The tiles should be easy to lift by applying a little heat, hairdryer might be safer to do.
