1. what can i do about the gaps when i lift the loose vinyl tiles.

2.can i lay my new self adhesive tiles on top of the old ones.

would it be possible to pva old vinyl tiles or lay hardboard on them before i put new vinyl tiles. anybody any experience with wickes self adhesive tiles for bathroom kitchen.

i always take the old tiles up.

it's one of those that i feel i'm going to a lot of effort but i feel this outweighs the problems of trying to make good otherwise.

i use my plumbing blow torch and a scraper and most usually lift quite quickly. probably could hire one for a day if you've not got similar. would also think of a mask and keep well ventilated as fumes are a bit much.
