Hi

I have just levelled my kitchen with levelling compound, I have read the instructions for laying “soft” coverings and it says wait 48 hours before laying. Why is this ? It also said normal tiles can be laid 4 hours after laying compound. Just wondering why it’s 48 hours and am tempted to do it after 24.

cheers for any replies.

NX and between 5mm and 50mm, ready for foot traffic in 4 hours according to instructions and it was right. Just wondering why it’s 48 hours for vinyls and 4 hours for normal tiles.

Normal tiles , ceramics let moisture breathe but vinyl doesn’t so needs to be fully dry so 48hours is best.
