Hello,
I was wondering if someone could guide me here. I need to have a new floor fitted to my property. I was initially thinking about laminate but then started thinking about the possibility of vinyl (or something similar) throughout the property instead.

Im looking to fit the floor to a rented property. I do want the wow factor but also do know that tenants will not care for the floor?

Im also open to some good suggestions.

Can be cheaper to fit laminate and harder wearing as will not rip, depend if you have to pay for fitting or diy.
Having said that my tenants are excellent and rarely walk on the laminate preferring to use of carpet scraps to prevent damage, they have the oak kitchen worktop covered in foil so as not to damage that.
Depends how well you choose your tenants.

As foxhole says laminate, use a reasonable quality one and avoid those with beveled edges between the boards, they look super but if water is spilt and left or a tenant washes over the floor it is more likely to stay in the gaps.

Use click-fit type then a repair is fairly simple.

Furniture and appliances will dig into vinyl and as said will tear when it is moved.
