Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know where I can hire a vinyl tile cutter? I have 20 sq m of Amtico to lay and know from (painful) experience that my girlie wrists aren't up to cutting that much with a knife. I asked in my local hire shop but was told they had no idea what I was talking about!

Its called a stanley knife! Make sure you score the tiles a few times before you snap them. I guess you mean a guillotine tho? There is know body who hires these out. Plus they take some mussle to use unless your fitting Amtico spacia range? There about £650 to buy, maybe it will be cheaper to get a pro to fit your floor? O and welcome to the forum!

Thanks mattysupra. If I can't hire a vinyl tile cutter I will have to hand cut them. Just thought it was worth asking.

Yes I know about Stanley knives (Though, being pedantic, it's a retractable trimming knife. "Stanley" is merely a brand name, just a "Hoover" is a vacuum cleaner)
