This concert is being shot by the BBC in HD as a live transmission this afternoon to celebrate the UK 2012 Olympics.

The sound quality is wonderful and has restored my faith in quality engineering.

So many of the recent live concerts have been marred by such poor sound quality. This one is a fine example of the sound being optimised for the TV audience rather than those at the event.

Full marks to the BBC.

Crowd was a bit small, actually it was a little embarrassing.

Proper day out....can't beat a wokka wokka and typhoon for quality sound. :D Cloud base was low...ears still ringing

But it was marred by the non appearance of the recently renovated Vulcan bomber. The only one now flying although at a cost of £7.5M if I remember correctly.

I am within a mile of a non flying Vulcan tonight!
