Visonic Powermax plus wireless alarm problem!!

Hi, I have a Visonic Powermax plus wireless alarm. Error message on display is 'system jammed'. Cannot set alarm system and system bleeps every four hours to give trouble warning. So a few sleepless nights! I have changed batteries on sensor which was low, Run a test on all sensors and turned off all electrical appliances. Wireless appliance's have been turned off but still 'system jammed' is displayed. Any ideas?

One possibility is that there is a continuous ( or near continuous ) transmission from some thing nearby that is preventing the panel communicating with the sensors.

This transmission may be malicious and intended to dis-able your alarm or an alarm near you.

Your system is among the better wireless alarms in that it alerts you to the fact that your alarm is not able to work properly and may fail to respond to a break in.

Some alarms can only respond to jamming by sounding the siren ( they have no other option ) and these sounding of the siren are often considered as false alarms and the owner may turn off the jamming detection if they become a nuiscance. This allows the system to be jammed and while jammed it will not respond to a break in.
