my friends vista wont start up.... the first screen comes up with

press esc for bios setup
del for boot options
tab for first screen

then it comes up BOOTMANGT missing (presuming it means boot management)

press ctrl alt delete to restart
then just the same process over again.

i changed the boot sequence but that made no difference.. any ideas?

At the bottom of that window in the link it shows 'I you do not see an operating system, click to Load drivers'.
Could you do that, and if so what happened?

At the bottom of the instructions it says that if it does not work click the link to their help forums, give them a click. I don't have Vista so cannot replicate the problem.

i clicked on the "load drivers" it just brought up the screen to browse through the disc, tried everything on there but there was no drivers to load. so i went for the install instead of repair put the product key in and that didnt want to install either! cant remeber the error message though.. ill try on that link see what they have to say.. thanks for your help dave.
