OK - this is getting into new boiler territory I fear. Had the volkera descaled and system flushed but the fault of the system cutting out is still there. Before an 8 flashed now it's a 1 and it appears the switch for water to heating has gone.

It's only four years old and previous engineers have just appeared to take the insurance company's penny.

Any ideas.

If its randomly locking out with code 01 and particularly first thing in the morning then it could be a sticking gas valve.

Needs a CORGI engineer to replace.
