Fitted a vokera combi today for first time..
UTTER CRAP.
The haning jig got fixed and plumbed..hung the boiler and the connections underneath were miles out. The nuts were a good 25mm from the threads on the boiler connections. I think due to the poor quality of the jig and flimsyness it had got out of shape in relation to the jig..but since i had piped it up bending it back to OEM tolerance was not happenign easy as had 5 pipes to move with it
anyway struggled on and got them all connected.. The gas was particulary a ******* as prebent elbow face where the nut was, was too tight an angle and the nut would not square up to get on the threads straight. Ended up taking the piece of pipe out of the gas valve and fitting the shut off valve to it off the boiler and then putting it back as one piece.
Also the nuts on the rear of the jig are difficult to get onto as the preformed metal has an egde which is in the way..all makes it tight and again adds time to the job.
I didnt choose the boiler..discovered what it was when i arrived.
I wont be choosing them in the future if i have the choice
rant over. tomorrows another day
