Vokera 20/80, no C/H, DHW fine.

I'll go with that, not beeen serviced as reegular as it should, bit slack on my part, now paying the price.

Gunged up is a safe bet, once you operate the hot water, the pin pops out, but won't return in under it's own steam.

Might just order a complete 3 way diverter and throw that on, get the rust inhibitor in and away we go :)

If only life was that easy

Have never had to replace a diverter on that boiler yet. Always service. But then again, I carry all the usual bits for this boiler. Never had to use the service kit either.

It is freeing up, it just needs that little extra push from the switch spring arm to help it back in, but, a neglected boiler I guess will break down time and again.

Just a quick query folks, Am I right in thinking the diverter is spring loaded? Nothing to do with the Expansion vessel pressure or alike hat I could bugger up doing it?

I have attended Flowmatics that have been wetter than a drowned cat. Tender care has brought them back to life. Have yet to come across one that could not be Repaired. AND it will happily plod along where other (modern) boiler choke, splutter and die.

While you may be able to tinker and make the boiler work, but you need a boiler hugger to breath life into it. An engineer who regularly works on boiler will be able to set/ adjust components that you may not even be aware of.

Agree'd, paying the penalty, but when you phone 11 of the buggars, 1 comes round and DOESNT spot the issue, your faith in them somewhat wains lol.

Shame it aint more like a car, i'll be happy as larry to work on it.
