Vokera 20-80 RS flowmatic combi-boiler

Hi,

I have a vokera combi-boiler which up untill about 2 weeks ago was working fine.

The problem being is that i've got no dhw or heating, the pilot flame is always on and when there is a demand for dhw or heating there is no ignition of the gas through the combustion chamber, this problem seems to be intermitent, most of the time it chooses not to work when i most need it. The system pressure is between 1 - 1.5bar.

i have changed the thermocouple stupidly thinking that it would be this simple.

could any one please help

could be a few things, does pump and fan run?

Is the system flow switch reliably operating every time?

And is the big knob on the gas valve in the run position?

Did you use a universal thermocouple or was it proper Vokera part?

You will need to give more info to allow remote diagnosis.

I suspect the boiler needs to be serviced.

Yer the fan seems to be working fine. Not to sure about the pump, how would i know?

The flow switch is working every time and yer the gas valve is in the run position

The thermocouple i used was a proper Vokera part, not to sure what other info i can give you

When you make a demand, does the air flow from the flue increase?

If it does, then the pump is running.

You should hear a faint hum followed by fan going to high speed (fan noise)

Yer seems to be working fine then in that case, when there is a demarnd for dhw or heating the air flow does increase.

When the roomsealed front cover plate is removed and there is a demarnd for dhw or heating the gas ignites and everything seems to be fine, but soon as the cover goes back on it stops working again!!!

Your fan and venturis are clogged. The boiler needs a proper service.
