Hi
My boiler has just stopped firing up although every thing else seems fine, the fan is ok the diaphragm was replaced not long ago and the microswitch looks ok (moving when it should as water/ heating is turned on.
The boiler is just not firing up when it should.
I have serviced this boiler myself regularly and seem to remember this problem previously, could it be the small heat sensor screwed to the base of the heat exchange unit or the PCB which I remember changing a few years ago.I don't want to replace the whole boiler as it is fine in most other ways.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.
Cheers
Gary

The boiler firing up would be likely to be a gas related problem if the system flow switch is operating.

Whilst it could be a PCB fault, it is more likely to be a combustion related problem. For safety reasons we dont like to give advice on work which normally has to be done by a CORGI registered person.

The fact that you have already been "servicing" your boiler would signal danger to us if you have really been doing all the work that a CORGI would do on a proper service.

When you say you serviced the boiler, what exactly do you do when you service the boiler.

This boiler misbehaves when it needs a service
