vokera 28 no pilot light

Had the boiler on all night now when the boiler starts to fire up fans cut in and then stop. A constant red light comes on. also noticed no pilot light on.
could this be the thermocouple or something more serious

Boiler DOES NOT have a thermocouple. Get a heating engineer (not a plumber) in to carry out diagnostic fault finding and then to replace the defective component.
