happens only when heating is in and not when using hotwater OVO engineer diagnosed sludge in the hoses and probably heatex, he wont repair as sludge is not covered by the insuranced. I'm not convinced as this has previously happened and a new heat ex was required and i think that there is a cracked tube in the exchanger. the system pressure is high when hot or cold
I'd be happy to replace the hoses, but not if the the exchanger needs changing-any advice will be welcomed
 
Is the filling loop open? Pinholed plate heat exchanger or expansion related issue are other possibilities.
 
On the Compact 28 sludge not an issue for boiler operation other than blocking flexible hoses which can then lead to multiple problems

Look at the pressure guage. When heating on and system hot, what is the pressure
