Hey all,
Apologies for what is no doubt going to be a vague post but I'll try be as specific and informative as possible.
For a short while - couple of months - our boiler (model above) has been loosing pressure at a relatively alarming rate.
One day we'll need to re-pressurise it once. The next five times. The next three times. What I'm basically saying is it's a strange, strange non-steady loss of pressure which I'm non-the-wiser to. We KNOW there's a small leak at one of the radiators but we're literally talking a drip a day. We also know it's loosing pressure through a very small leak at the valve we use to pressurise it (sorry, not up with the plumbing jargon!) but again, very small. Not enough for it to go from 1.5bar to just above 0 within an hour, or certainly not from what I would have thought!
Now we were quite happy living with these small and inconveniences until today - when the boiler lost pressure and obviously cut off as usual. What's different this time round is that the boiler itself won't turn back on now. There's a flashing green light indicating it's in standby mode but when we repressurise the system it simply does nothing. On the very ODD occassion (once every 10-15 attempts to re-ignite it) the green light will go from flashing every couple of seconds to roughly 1 second of very quick flashing. It's always green however, no red.
So - again apologies for the vagueness - does anyone have any clues? I'm happy to take photos and videos of anything related to this that anyone needs to see to give me a bit of an insight in to what it could be that's causing it not to ignite. We will be addressing the leaks very, very soon however we need it to ignite for obvious reasons. We can use the electric immersion for water but have no heating right now.
Thanks in advance!
Pete
