Quite often good working boilers (with minor defects- that can be repaired) are removed by installers. The fault you have needs someone who understands boiler operation. Positive fault diagnosis will put the boiler right.
I have to say, in many cases boilers malfunction because they have been neglected. Furthermore a service that takes 15-20 minutes is not a service but a kidon.
Suggest you post your location, look for an engineer who will want to fix your boiler (without randomly changing parts) and will not be upset should you want to watch what is being done.
