Hi all,
When asking for heating or hot water the boiler comes up with fault code 01,anyone got any idea as to what is the likely culprit,I have no MI for this boiler either !!
Many thanks

have you got gas?

If so....

Turn the middle control knob to the middle position, leave for 3 seconds then turn to heating/hotwater and open a hot water tap

If same again, suspect shorting on the spark lead

Sometimes the boiler lights up and other times it just shows up fault code 01.
I have noticed when it doesn't light that I cannot hear any sparking yet when it does light the sparking sound is very clear
Am I right in saying if it were the gas valve I would still hear the sparking sound,it just wouldn't be getting the gas to ignite ???
Which leads me to believe it could be the ignition pcb ???

possibly, but i would be checking the low gas pressure first to make sure its right.

Is the fan spinning every time? It won't go to ignition until the fan is proved.

Are you certain the aps is detecting the fan, have you checked contacts with multimeter?

I will check and make sure with the meter tommorow

common fault with the vokera was sticking gas valves it has the sit sigma 845 gas valve.01 code means lack of ignition, check with a u gauge on the inlet test point, run the boiler and if the u guage dips down when the boiler goes to ignite then the valve is opening, if not then check voltage on valve if valve has voltage, problem more often is a sticking gas valve, replace with a new one, make sure the new one has a blue thin band on the data plate this indicate that its one of the new types mate

hope this helps

I would suggest step by step diagnostics. Have only ever changed one gas valve on the Linea range and there are loads fitted hereabouts.

i agree. its much more likely to be the ign pcb.

too many guesses on here now and not much technical feedback.

i would bite the bullet and get someone in mate.
