Guys,
I wonder if you could maybe point me in the right direction. I've got a Vokera Linea boiler that was leaking from the safety valve even when the pressure was below 3 bar. I changed this thinking that this might have solved my problem however I now think that I may have something a little more complex going on.
After repressurising the system to 1 bar and turning on my heating I noticed that the pressure rose to 3 bar and the safety valve opened up dumping some of the system water. This does eventually close off but leaves the system with a lack of pressure and the boiler won't kick in until I add more water. Would I be right in thinking that the expansion vessel might be causing this problem? I was hoping to test this but as it's to the back of the boiler this doesn't seem too easy. I did think of adding a replacement inline with the heating pipework but didn't want to do this until I got you opinions.
Could I be right or is it likely that I have a problem elsewhere in my system?
Many thanks in advance,
T
