Hello all,
My boiler is not producing hot water. The central heating is fine but the taps aren't producing hot water. The microswitch isn't being triggered. It works if its pushed, but the pin that triggers it doesn't move when a hot tap is turned on. It comes out of the diverter valve. I can pull it with pliers so I know it isn't stuck. Is the whole valve the problem or is it something else.

Pretty easy job but depends on your ability!
At the opposite end of divertor valve to microswitch is a circular brass casting with 8 if memory serves me right screws holding it together!!
Diaphragm lives inside!!

Spot on diagnosis, replaced the diaphragm and now working perfectly. One tiny hole caused the failure.
