Vokera Syntesi 29e boiler with error code d2

This morning my boiler was not working with the red LED flashing and error code d2. I have attempted a reset (turning the mode selector switch to reset for 10 seconds then back to original position but the error code d2 still shows. I have also tried switching off at the mains for 5 mins. Looking at the user manual the code relates too a problem with the condense sensor??? any ideas would be greatly appreciated

check that both the condense pipe and trap are clear, dont run your boiler with the condense trap empty, fill it with clean water after you have cleaned it out.

as above, it will be full of flakes probably.
