Voltage Testers & Proving Units

I've got a martindale, but it spends most of it's life in the garage these days.

I do my dead testing with a fluke T5-1000, even though it's not GS38 compliant it's the tester that lives in my tool box as it's such a versatile tester for every day use.

I used to have a Fluke T5-600 tester and it was really good until i stupidly left it in the bucket of the cherry picker and i lost it ! was gutted. Had a T140 to replace it and lost that out on the highways, made do with the t50 for a while now im using a t100.

If i could afford it i would buy the Fluke T5-1000 quality bit of kit

I left my fluke T1s in the bucket of a cherry picker! They were great testers, but by time I'd lost them they were discontinued.

I tried the so called replacement but they were more than useless. Testing for voltage between live and earth trips RCDs!! That's when I bought the T5 about 10 years ago.

It's been a bit funny recently, but I think it probably just needs new batteries. If not, I'd by another set with out hesitation.
