Can anybody recommend a voltstick type live wiring detector that isn't too sensitive and can pinpoint hidden live wires behind plasterboard fairly accurately.
I do have one that I use at work as a quick checker to see if the windsreen heaters on the Aircraft that i work on are working, but it is too sensitive, if i use it to try to pin point hidden wires it seems to start buzzing and lights up when i get within a foot of a live circuit , OK for what i bought it for, but not very discriminating when a bit more accuracy is needed.
