Vunerabilities on computer

I am using windows xp on dell laptop 9300. I ahve panda platinum virus check etc and every time i boot up i am told i have certain vunerabilities on the computer and have a link to windows update website to fix problem...

I already have automatic updates setup and when i scan computer there is a download but wont work. An error message comes up.

Will post an update of the error mesage and the vunerability type soon but any help please

It would certainly help to know what the error message says.

Also have you tried going into Windows Update and downloading an update manually ? Just try one to see whether there's something wrong with your automatic set-up . And also to see whether you get the same error message.

Vunerability says MS06-002

Tells me to update internet browser. I havve internet explorer 6.0 and also use firefox 1.0.7
