They move to designated sites (which I believe many councils now provide), which they look after and keep clean and tidy. They pay council tax like the rest of us, they don't intimidate their neighbours and, if and when they decide to 'relocate', they don't leave the site in a mess.

As far as I'm aware, these are all existing legal obligations.

Irish land laws favour the owner unlike in England where any gypo can traisp all over it and make his camp.
Ireland is full of Bull Mc Cabes too that the gypos wouldn't dare mess with.

Oddly enough, wild camping is illegal in England other than on Dartmoor. It is legal in Sctoland though.
