Wainscoting

Hello guys ... amateur diy'er here

i want to know more about wainscoting ( pannelling up the stairs mainly) ... if anyone could help me out here i'd be grateful


also does anyone know where i could purchase the wainscoting products in the medway area (kent)

Wainscoting means wagon planking ,as in hay-wain. Its just another word for skirting board. It's easy to do a simple version of stair paneling. Overlay the wall on top of the stair string with a panel product such as ply or mdf. Overlay the frame pieces, dado and panel moulding to your choice of panel size. Study some good, existing work, this will give you all the clues you need
