Small South London edwardian house. Been there 4 years now, and this crack has opened up recently I suspect due to dry conditions and probably clay foundations!
this is the extent of the crack, nothing upstairs, and having lived in a number of south London Victorian/Edwardian houses on clay soils I'm quite aware that some of them move, and that's kind of the way it is.
It's not possible currently to afford any major structural work, underpinning etc. so I'm looking for a short term fill and ignore it, until funds allow a proper solution in time.
My intention was to dig it all out and fill the crack with some form of flexible filler, so that a couple of years can be enjoyed before anything major, without staring at the open crack every day.
Does anyone have any good recommendations on how I might fill this crack and have that repair last for a bit?
Many thanks.
